Masterson’s Lounge, situated in the center of Moonee Ponds , brands itself as a fashionable, contemporary hangout, but my most recent experience at this establishment resulted in an experience I’d rather forget . While the bar may look welcoming at first glance , what I experienced behind its doors was shocking and unacceptable on multiple levels .

From the moment I entered , it was evident that cleanliness was not a priority at this bar . The ground was covered in grime , and a pungent odor of stale beer and filthy restrooms permeated the entire pub. Emitting a scent of a mixture of human waste, putrefaction and sickness . The bar area , which should be the focal point of any pub, was cluttered with dirty glasses and trash that looked like it hadn’t been touched in ages .
